SMOKE CONDITION

Date & Time: Saturday, July 28, 2007 – 1:19 p.m.

Location: Hill Dormitory, Rider University, 2083 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township, N.J.

Details: All three Lawrence Township fire companies were dispatched on Box 22-20 for a reported smoke condition inside the Hill Dormitory on the Rider University campus. Telesquirt 22, Ladder Tower 23, Snorkel 21 and Engine 21 all responded and quickly discovered that someone had maliciously discharged a dry chemical fire extinguisher in a hallway. The entire building was checked and no evidence of any fire was found. Positive pressure fans were used to ventilate the extinguish powder from the hallway. Telesquirt 22 was back in quarters by 1:46 p.m.
